REminiscence-F030 (Flashback for Falcon 030)

The first beta of SLiXs REminiscence Falcon port was recently released.

REminiscence is a re-creation of Flashback, the successor of Another World. Sadly the game never got an ST or Falcon version back in the day, while a Jaguar version did make it.

The newly released Falcon version runs on a 030 machine with 14 MB memory, RGB or VGA screen and makes use of DSPMOD for audio.

Flashback mixes beautiful backdrops with smoothly animated polygon charaters, similar to Another World

For the record, I used to blatantly defend the ATARI ST when publishers started to ignore it. I phoned and wrote to many of them including Delphine Software who were kind enough to tell me that they had had plans for an ST port but done by another studio. In the end the so called studio only delivered a bad quality prototype so that the port was cancelled... Too bad :(
