You mean cheating in a way, like having more computing power on a GFX card than the main CPU?
Yes but also all the work is done by the ARM, the 68000 just copy the cartridge memory to the ST RAM so the shifter can display the frame buffer.
If you look at a shader demo, how much work is done by the CPU? Nothing.
Yes, I know but IMHO in a retro-computer the hardware should be "fixed", imagine that you add a second 68000 but a dual-core ARM... is a bit too much, although the performance and possibilities are amazing.
At the PC world it's harder to set a line, it's a constant evolution.
