The legendary US-based company Wizztronics is stepping forward in making an Atari Falcon rebuild.

"The entire team that Wizztronics is dedicated to getting this project done. We will release information as to the progress when it becomes available, we thank you for your patience.
Steve Cohen CEO"

Apparently the layout is progressing.

This is going to be very interesting if they pull it off. This board is only the first stage.ย
The production version is expected to be more compact, potentially running as an 060 platform. (Where are they getting those from? 060 being very rare and expensive.)
It also depends on how expensive the end product is going to be. I wouldn't mind paying around the price of my original Falcon in 1993 when new. Much more than that will need serious thought.

It's pure speculation, but optimistically speaking it could also mean an end to the ridiculously high "Falcon market" prices and open up for more developments for the platform.

I generally buy all things Falcon.ย  But even an idiot like me have a pain threshold, I cross my fingers this one will be reasonably priced!ย  If I understood it correctly, the motherboard is designed to fit in the Falcon microbox case, or have I dreamt that?ย  It would be a smasher to finally have the "Playstation 2" Falcon, 30+ years later.
Exciting times :)
