GFA Basic is an unknown term and assembler surely something more related to a factory than an Atari ST to you ?

Still you want to show your own demo screen at one of the upcoming Atari meetings ?

Then the Loader Construction Kit might interest you.

You have to start the application in mid-res to get it to work. Next comes the disabled protection part.

After clicking on the red color in the lower row three times the main menu is loading.

The program uses mid-res to handle all editing and low-res to display the results and effects.

In my test session i took one of the images, added a font some texts and played with the effects.
There are twelve effects - six to bring an image on the screen and six to clear the screen.

You can set the area for your scroller interactively and link programs like neoChrome which can be launched from within LCK.

Adding legendary scroll-texts is also done in the programs editor:

Every setting can be tested without compiling inside the LCK.

While i was not able to go the whole length having difficulties saving/compiling it was nice to play around with the software for a while.

You can get it for free on this nicely designed homepage of the Pixel Boys:

Looks great fun! I've had a go with it as well - reminds me a bit of DCK. :)

If you follow the link you will hopefully find out that the software also runs in English, should you not be familiar with French. !)

Thanks for pointing this out. I forgot to mention this in the article: there is a French and an English version, both are for free.
